The second means of locomotion is an airship, which helps to reach hard-to-reach places. This machine is equipped with a powerful laser weapon, which comes in handy during battles. In addition to exploring the world on foot, the player can also use two vehicles. In addition, in subsequent locations you can also discover more powerful equipment, which will improve the hero's statistics.

As the player progresses in the game, he advances to new levels, thanks to which he gains new abilities. The production also did not lack a character development system.

During the adventure, the player explores the world, gathers a team, talks to encountered NPCs, performs various tasks and conducts turn-based battles. MechanicsĬhained Echoes is a classic representative of the RPG genre. The player's task is to resolve the conflict. The land has been consumed by the war of three kingdoms for many years. The action presented in Chained Echoes takes place on the continent of Valandis, which combines elements of fantasy and science fiction. In turn, the release was undertaken by Deck13 studio, which has in its portfolio such titles as The Surge 2. Matthias Linda is responsible for the production of the title. Its a 8,5 for me so far.Chained Echoes is a role-playing game inspired by 16-bit productions originating from the SNES console.

I'm still really early in the game(it hasn't opened up yet), but this is worth every penny so far, if you reading this is still on the fence. Playing the game it is clearly that was done because it would likely mean either working a few more years on the game, and/or not having enough money to pay freelancer to make said scenes). Makes me wonder what the dev would be able to do with more money and manpower, since that's the clear bottleneck during the game's development(Some cool scenes just fades to black instead of playing out, and "completed" with the appropriate sounds, and having some very exciting scenes. The writing is great, though I'm sure there are a few grammar mistakes here and there.īut yeah, the combat system is great, the story is compelling so far, the progression system is interesting, and the presentation is good. Some battle animations should have been a bit slower to better process the attack, others should have a little more in it to notice the attack better(Some animations are really quiet and somewhat difficult to see that your attack has been deployed, for the first tries anyways). Presentation-wise, the animations are the weakest part(though still good).
